Do you have lower back issues? By now, most of us have felt a little lower back pain or tightness here and there. Because of that, a lot of people just shy away from doing anything involving the lower back, especially with weights. This actually compounds the problem over time. Your lower back is part of your core and your upper back are the most important muscles in the upper body. We gotta keep the core strong. It protects us from serious injury each and every day. The seated bent over row can help ease you into free weight back training. Here are a few points: 1. Even though you've got a bench or seat, don't rely on it too heavily and allow form to get sloppy. Keep shoulder blades back at all times and reset your posture if you start to feel lower back kick in. 2. Focus on full range of motion. Without breaking the form, allow the weights to stretch you at the low point and get a big squeeze at the high point. 3. Think about pulling the weights back toward the hips rather than up toward the shoulders. This will help target your lats and feel them working. 4 Most Important Keys to Lasting Fat Loss: In Order 1. You LOVE it - not tolerate it, not get through it, not do what you gotta do. You've got to LOVE the process.
